Illuminate Your Smile
At Smileworks Dental, we believe that everyone deserves a dazzling smile. Our professional teeth whitening in Calgary is designed to give you the stunning results you have always dreamed of. During your initial consultation, our team will thoroughly assess the health of your teeth and gums, ensuring you receive the safest and most effective treatment.
Today's diets can leave surface stains, giving your teeth a darker or yellow appearance. Teeth whitening is a safe application to remove these surface stains and reveal your natural white enamel underneath. We use advanced whitening techniques to ensure your smile shines its brightest, offering immediate and impressive results.
It is crucial that your dental professional sources a whitening product that is gentle and safe for your tooth structure. Our team carefully selects products with inherent desensitizers, ensuring your comfort during and after the procedure.

Maintaining Your Results
Whether you are preparing for a special occasion or simply want to boost your confidence, our personalized whitening solutions are tailored to meet your unique needs. We offer both in-office whitening and custom take-home kits.
To keep your smile bright after whitening, we recommend limiting staining foods and drinks — such as coffee, tea, red wine, and berries — for at least 48 hours after treatment. Maintaining good oral hygiene and attending regular cleanings will also help extend your results.
Most patients enjoy their whitening results for one to three years. We offer touch-up treatments and refills for your take-home kit to keep your smile looking its best year-round.
Teeth Whitening
In-Office vs. Take-Home Whitening
In-office professional whitening delivers dramatic results in a single appointment — typically 60-90 minutes. We apply a professional-strength whitening gel to your teeth and use a specialized light to accelerate the process. Most patients leave with teeth that are several shades brighter.
Custom take-home whitening kits use custom-made trays that fit your teeth precisely, paired with professional-grade whitening gel. You wear the trays for a prescribed amount of time each day (usually 30-60 minutes) over a period of 1-2 weeks. Results are slightly more gradual but equally impressive.
Many patients choose to start with in-office whitening for an immediate boost and then use their take-home kit for maintenance. We will help you choose the right approach based on your timeline, budget, and whitening goals.
Teeth Whitening
Frequently Asked Questions
Is teeth whitening safe? Yes. Professional whitening is safe when performed under dental supervision. We assess your oral health before whitening and use products that include built-in desensitizers to minimize sensitivity.
Will whitening work on crowns or veneers? Whitening agents only work on natural tooth enamel. Crowns, veneers, bonding, and fillings will not change colour. If you have visible restorations, we will discuss how to achieve a consistent shade across your smile.
How much does teeth whitening cost? Professional whitening is very affordable, especially compared to the confidence boost it provides. Contact our office for current pricing on our in-office and take-home whitening options.
