The cleaning itself involves the careful removal of plaque and tartar from all tooth surfaces — including below the gumline — using gentle, precise instruments. We then polish your teeth to remove surface stains and leave your smile feeling fresh and clean.
Your dentist will complete the appointment with a thorough examination, reviewing any X-rays taken, screening for oral cancer, and discussing any recommended follow-up care. We take the time to explain our findings clearly and answer all your questions before you leave.

What is the difference between a cleaning and a deep cleaning? A regular cleaning removes plaque and tartar from above and just below the gumline.
