Joe Feels His Best

Joe’s journey to a better smile is almost done. He’s done a lot of self improvement over the last couple of years. He’s lost weight, started exercising and begun to take two step dancing lessons. Joe opted to have invisible braces and to begin having work done to fill the gap that have developed over the years.

The final step that Joe wants to take for his new smile is to repair a tooth that is chipped and making him self-conscious. Joe has discussed options for this with his dentist that include:

Veneers:  Veneers are thin shells that are adhered permanently to your teeth. The teeth are prepared by grinding the top surface down and this is a permanent solution. Veneers are generally applied to all of your teeth and can fix damaged or badly stained teeth. Veneers require special attention as flossing between them may be impossible. Regular visits for dental cleaning should be scheduled.

Bonding:  Bonding can be used to fix damaged or broken teeth. Bonding material can be made to closely resemble the rest of the tooth and is often used for chipped or cracked teeth. Bonded teeth can be brushed and flossed like natural teeth.

Caps or Crowns:

These are covers that are used over more severe tooth damage and there are better alternatives for Joe’s chipped tooth.

Joe decided to take a more conservative approach to improving his smile and he used the invisible braces to close the gaps and straighten his teeth, had his teeth whitened in the dental office to remove the stains from smoking and drinking coffee and had bonding applied to repair the chip in his tooth.

Joe’s journey to a better smile is well underway and his confidence is growing. Joe is working on himself and feeling great about his life. He’s ready to go out, meet new people and let his smile work for him.
